Chicago, Ill. – July 5, 2019 – The Midwest Collegiate League has unveiled rosters for its upcoming All-Star Game.

The annual showcase of the league’s top talent will take place on Saturday, July 13 at 7:10 p.m. at Oil City Stadium, the home of the Northwest Indiana Oilmen. The MCL is celebrating its 10th anniversary season of aiding collegiate players in their development as they strive to reach their highest potential. This will mark the ninth consecutive season that the league has held a mid-summer showcase of its brightest stars.

The MCL All-Star Game has produced numerous professional players, most notably 2019 Major League Baseball All-Star Paul DeJong of the St. Louis Cardinals, who represented the DuPage County Hounds in the MCL All-Star Game six years ago.

This year’s game will pit the MCL East All-Stars – comprised of the Southland Vikings, Northwest Indiana Oilmen and Crestwood Panthers – up against the MCL West All-Stars – made up of the DuPage County Hounds, Joliet Generals and Bloomington Bobcats.

The MCL East All-Stars will be managed by Northwest Indiana’s Kevin Tyrrell, while DuPage County skipper Ben Caple will be at the helm for the MCL West All-Stars. The managers were selected based on the teams that reached the 2018 MCL Championship Series.
