Chicago, Ill. – July 23, 2018 – Bloomington pitcher Quinn Gudaitis (Illinois Wesleyan / Arlington Heights, Ill.) was named the Midwest Collegiate League Pitcher of the Week on Monday for his continued string of success.

Gudaitis was once again dominant, hurling a pair of complete-game shutouts in seven-inning wins over the Joliet Generals. He has tossed three straight complete-game shutouts and becomes the MCL’s first two-time Pitcher of the Week this season.

The Bloomington hurler’s efforts were critical this week as both starts came against Joliet, the team chasing the Bobcats for the MCL’s final playoff spot. On Tuesday, he helped the Bobcats blast the Generals 13-0 before paving the way for a 4-0 win in the second game of a doubleheader on Sunday in Bloomington.

Gudaitis, an MCL All-Star, holds a 2.20 ERA and 4-4 record over eight games this season. He has struck out 47 and walked 19. Gudaitis has been victorious in each of his last four starts.
