Chicago, Ill. – June 6, 2022 – The Northern League revealed its second set of weekly awards for the 2022 season on Monday.

Dino Biggers (Illinois Wesleyan / Naperville, Ill.) of the Joliet Generals was named the league’s Player of the Week, while Rex Stills (Purdue Fort Wayne / Valparaiso, Ind.) of the Lake County Corn Dogs took home Pitcher of the Week accolades.

Biggers turned in a .438 batting average (7-for-16) during the week and posted three multi-hit games. His week was highlighted by a three-hit performance in a 14-2 victory over the Southland Vikings on Monday, May 30. Biggers also had a double, a triple, four runs scored, four RBIs and two walks over his four games this week.

Stills helped the Corn Dogs achieve the Pitcher of the Week for the second consecutive week. He made his Lake County debut with a complete-game shutout in a seven-inning, 4-0 road victory against the Generals on Wednesday. Stills fanned eight and issued no walks while yielding just two hits.
