Another Panther is heading to Whiting on July 12th as Connor Janik has been added to the Northern League West All Star Roster.
Janik is the eighth Panther on the roster. Janik joins position players Peter Fusek, Hobbs Dunne, Aydin Wright, and Jimmy Gurgone alongside pitchers Justin Schassburger, Charlie Faoro, and Erik Carlson.
Janik has been a consistent fixture in the middle of the lineup for the Panthers this season. Janik is hitting .309 on the season with eight RBIs. He has seven multi-hit games on the season including a 3/5 day against the American Giants on June 10th.
The Northern League All-Star game will be at Oil City Stadium in Whiting on June 12th, and tickets are available at nwioilmen.com. The game will be broadcast on the Northwest Indiana Oilmen Broadcasting Network including Region Sports, Facebook Live, and AM 1200 WJOB.
